| | Via Credit Union is once again providing K-12 educators with funding to provide innovative learning opportunities for their students. Over the years, ViaCU has funded 74 projects totaling over $31,000 to area teachers.Projects that may qualify for funding should make creative use of common teaching aids, approach the curriculum from an imaginative angle, or tie non-traditional concepts together for the purpose of illustrating commonalities. Grant amounts between $100 and $500 will be awarded. Some examples of past projects include: creating video diaries using video cameras, building solar car for a class race and instruments for music class.Interested teachers may complete an application online beginning Sunday, July 1st. Application deadline is Saturday, September 30th. Please contact Michelle Peterson at 765.674.6631 with questions regarding the teacher grants. |

| New Way to Make Your Loan Payment |
| | | ViaCU offers many options to make your monthly loan payment. For added convenience we recently added the feature, External Transfer, which allows you to make one-time or recurring loan payments from other financial institutions within ViaConnect.
Please follow the steps below to set up the External Transfer option: |
| | | Once logged into ViaConnect, select External Transfer under “Loans”. |

| | Set up account by entering other Financial Institution’s Routing/Transit number and account number. |
|
|
| | In 1-2 business days, two micro deposits will appear in the other financial institution’s account. Once received, log into ViaConnect to verify the amounts and account. |
|
|
| | Schedule a one-time or recurring loan payment from the other financial institution by selecting “Start Transfer From”. |
|

External Transfers should be used to transfer funds only between accounts that you own. To send money to another person or business, please use ViaBill Pay. ViaCU will process transfer requests received before 4:00 pm on the next business day. Transfer requests received on a non-business day or after 4:00 pm will be processed the second business day. Transfers are subject to Via Credit Union’s Account Agreement. |
